Financial Analyst / Financial Project Advisor
WSP in Poland provides integrated design and consultancy services in five main sectors: building solutions, infrastructure, environment, sustainability and project management.

WSP is the world's leading engineering company, specialising in infrastructure, transport, environment, energy and buildings.
We have a clear vision of how it wants to help make the world a better place, by giving back to communities and supporting what's really important for our future.
Imagine a better future for us all - and a better future for you.
Due to continued commercial expansion across our engineering and consulting portfolio in Poland, we are strengthening our Finance organisation to better support complex, long-term infrastructure and advisory projects.
We are looking for a Financial Project Analyst / Project Finance Business Partner who can go beyond reporting, someone who actively shapes project performance, strengthens financial discipline, and partners with delivery teams to improve commercial outcomes.
You will join a multidisciplinary environment driven by collaboration, technical excellence, and a shared commitment to delivering large-scale, technically complex projects that shape the built environment.
Your impact in this role
In this position, you will act as a key financial partner to project teams, ensuring robust financial governance and driving value creation across the project lifecycle.
Deliver high-quality management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance insights for engineering and consulting projects
Act as a finance partner to Project Managers, supporting commercial decision-making and ensuring financial discipline across project execution
Establish, challenge, and continuously improve project budgets, incorporating contract changes, risk considerations, and evolving scope
Analyse project costs, revenue recognition, and margin development to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Support and enhance project controls, contributing to the professionalisation and standardisation of financial processes across the business
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow management, and financial predictability across long-term contracts
Ensure compliance with internal financial frameworks while actively contributing to process optimisation and automation initiatives
What we are looking for
We are seeking a finance professional who is comfortable operating in a project-driven, engineering/consulting environment and who can combine analytical strength with business partnering capability.
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, or commercial/project controlling roles
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex project financial data and translate it into actionable insights
Confident communicator, able to challenge stakeholders constructively and work effectively in cross-functional teams
Fluent in both Polish and English (written and spoken)
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and Oracle or similar ERP systems is a strong advantage
Prior experience in long-term engineering, infrastructure, or consulting contract environments is highly desirable
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a pure reporting role, it is a project-facing finance business partner position, where you will directly influence project delivery decisions, financial outcomes, and commercial performance across complex engineering and consulting engagements.
